Art Adventure is a program for schools offered through the Minneapolis Institute of Art (MIA). Art Adventure sparks curiosity and conversation around selected artwork at the MIA. The program engages students with artworks from curated collections presented by parent volunteers and allows students to experience artworks up close and personal through reproductions, technology, and touch-and-feel props. This has been a hugely popular program with both kids and volunteers.
Wildwood
For three weeks in January, “Picture People” parent volunteers present these artworks in first and second grade classrooms paired with a small art project. First graders also attend a field trip at MIA to see the artwork in person. The WW set for 2025 is Families, Friends, and Community.
